Challengers Cup: Semi-Final Results

KLONDIKE, CP Army Media Headquarters – The semi-finals of the Challengers Cup has concluded following two exciting battles. But which armies won their battle to make it into the grand finals?

The highly anticipated semi-final round of the Challengers Cup saw four armies go head-to-head in two intense 30-minute battles. Each conflict was judged by five individuals, and a conclusion was reached based on: size, tactics, formations and speed. Let’s find out the results of the battles, and discover who made it to the grand finals of the tournament.

Pizza Federation vs. Coup Crusaders

With the staff predictions split on this pairing, many were eager to find out the result. The close battle saw the two armies come to blows in the Plaza, Inside Mine and Cove. The first room was announced a tie, with the Pizza Federation maxing 21 and the Coup Crusaders hitting 22. Despite a smaller size, the Pizza Federation grew in size throughout, and their more diverse range of tactics and bombs saw them triumph in the second and third rooms. A 2-1-0 result concluded the first battle.

Winner: Pizza Federation

People’s Imperial Confederation vs. Crimson Guardians

With all six of the CP Army Media staff predicting a Confederation win, it’s fair to say the Crimson Guardians were the underdogs heading into this battle. The exciting battle saw conflict in the Beach, Boiler Room and Stadium. The Confederation had the higher maximum size of 17, compared to the Crimson Guardians 14. In the closest battle of the tournament so far, the Guardians put up a fierce fight with an array of fast tactics and unique formations. A score of 1-2-0 was declared: a tie in the first two rooms, and a win in the final room for the People’s Imperial Confederation.

Winner: People’s Imperial Confederation

The Pizza Federation and People’s Imperial Confederation emerged victorious in the semi-final round, which means they are now going head-to-head in the grand finals this Saturday. But who will take home the first Challengers Cup trophy?
