KLONDIKE, Legends Cup X Boardroom — The first day of the Legends Cup X is upon us, and we’ve rounded up the staff predictions for your pleasure!

June 1st marks the start of the highly anticipated Legends Cup X, with a whopping 32 armies set to take part in the first round (click here for the times). Day One, however, will see just eight armies go head-to-head in four intense battles. Who will emerge the victors? And who are the CP Army Media editors placing bets on?

The Challengers Cup predictions saw boss Ayan win the most correctly predicted battles – a total of 12/13. Close behind him was Pookie and Max, with 10/13, and Dino on 9/13. Late entrants Emcee and Koloway also scored 2/3 and 1/3 respectively. This time around, we’re also adding predictions from Mehakk and 32op, CP Army League’s Head of Boards. But how will the staff fair this time around?

Rebel Penguin Federation vs. Wildcard Entry

With the wildcard entry set to be announced later today, could the top-dogs be met with fierce competition in their first-round? The Rebels placed first in the CP Army Media Top Twenty listings, over 30 points ahead of the second-place Pirates. There is no doubt they are one of the hot favorites to win, especially having won the Premier League tournament back in April. And with consistent sizes of 80+ this past week, the unknown wildcard entry will need to pull out all the stops to take the victory.

The newly returned Water Vikings have seen some great successes in the past few weeks, and are the favorites to win this battle after the Angels Army failed to place in this week’s small-medium listings. Known to perform brilliantly in tournaments in the past, could the Water Vikings be underdogs in the Legends Cup X?

The Ice Warriors have been hit with leadership drama recently which in turn has affected their sizes. Having also dropped several places in the Top Twenty listings, how far will they make it in the tournament? The Sky Troops just missed on the small-medium Top Ten this week, placing 12th. Can they manage a shock win, or are the Ice Warriors too powerful for them to top?

The Army of CP appears to have an easy win ahead of them, but will they make it any further? There is no doubt they have high hopes after winning the Holiday Championships at the start of the year, but with more competition in the Legends Cup X, how will they fair?
